Owls News · Varsity Softball Loses Tough Game at Estrella Foothills

on Monday, April 6th, the varsity softball team travelled to Estrella Foothills to face a tough team. Second baseman Kassi Simmons started the game with a lead off double, followed by a single from shortstop Destinee Cabrera   A sacrifice bunt by pitcher Jackie Osorio brought Kassi home and a wild pitch brought Des home.  The Lady Owls were up 2-0 in the bottom of the first.  Estrella Foothills scored 9 runs in the bottom of the first.  In the second inning, Kassi Simmons had a RBI bringing righfielder Esli home, making the score 9-3.  In the bottom of the second inning, Estrella Foothills scored 3 more runs, making the score 12-3.  In the third inning, Jackie Osorio had a lead off single and centerfielder Kash Cannon hit a home run, making the score 12-5.  The game was called in the 4th inning with a final score 19-5.

On Wednesday, April 8th, the Lady Owls play at home against Betty Fairfax at 6 PM.  Good luck Lady Owls!
