Owls News · Agua Fria W Volleyball Plays Verrado HS and Deer Valley HS

The Agua Fria Women’s Volleyball team played Verrado HS on Monday, September 25th.The girls came out excited and ready to win. The crowd gave them a lot of energy for the game. But unfortunately, the girls lost 3-2 in the final minutes of the game. The ladies fought for the win into the final minutes, but came up short.

This loss makes the ladies record falls to 9-8. The lady Owls are having a season to remember. The ladies also have a lot of young players on their roster, with some amazing talent. There are a few players who are having some great seasons. One of which is Sophomore, Emily Bey, who is the middle blocker for the team.

The Agua Fria Women´s Volleyball team also played Deer Valley HS on Tuesday, September 26th. The girls went to this away game ready and pumped up to redeem themselves from the loss the day before. But, the ladies unfortunately lost to Deer Valley 3-1 in the final half of the game. This loss makes the ladies record fall to 9-9.

Although 9-9 is an even record, it makes the ladies want more wins. This record does not show the team’s true talent. The ladies display excellent team work every week. The ladies have some of the best communication out of any team in our district. Sophomore, Kasiah Johnson, performed very well. She was able to show what great leadership and talent on the court looks like.

Now the ladies have a tournaments at Chandler Prep, and Lake Havasu. Updates to come! Go lady Owls!
