On January 17, the Agua Fria varsity men soccer team played against Centennial High School. The game was not only the last home game of the season at Agua Fria, but it was also the senior night ceremony for the senior soccer players. The final score was 5-0.

That game was not only a special night because of the win, but it was also a special night for the seniors. The team had a senior night ceremony for its senior soccer players. Many of these seniors are going to have wonderful memories from being out in the field. Senior, Mario Fierro, says, “I will always remember the feeling of dribbling past players.”

Another senior player, Pablo Torres, said “I will always remember having fun out on the field with the team.”

These senior soccer players have gained a wide range of experienced from playing on the team for the last couple of years throughout their high school career, that they would like to leave some wise words for their underclassmen players.“The only thing I would have to say is believe in yourselves and to not give up. Always have a strong mindset and don’t give in to the negativity,” Fierro says.

“One thing I would say to the team is to enjoy it, have fun, and to leave your heart out in the field,” Torres says.
