On April 9th, the Lady Owls softball team faced off against Millenium and the result was pretty good matchup between the the two teams.
The Lady Owls fell short in a 3-2 loss. It was a very close game and goes to show that the Lady Owls can play to the level of great teams.
On April 9th, the Lady Owls took on the Millennium Tigers which was the biggest game for Agua Fria and Millennium fans. The Lady Owls moved to the 5A division where Millennium had been playing in for a while, Agua Fria and Millennium have been rivals for far too long.
“It’s our first year playing them because they’re now in the same division and it’s exciting to play a new team,” senior Nicole Tyler said.
The Lady Owl fans have been waiting for this game for a long time and are looking forward for the Owls to defeat the Tigers.
“I think we need to trust each other and have more confidence in each other… I feel confident in my team and we are capable of doing it,” Nicole Tyler said.
For the Lady Owls to win they have to trust each other during the game. Playing against the Tigers will prove how well the Lady Owls handle tough teams.
“I think we are ready because we have be preparing for this and working hard during practice,” first-year varsity player freshman Jenna Pachico said.
The Tigers are a team the Lady Owls have not played before, they will be going into this game blind, but they are ready.
As it was their first year battling them, congratulate the Lady Owls for a great game against a tough team!
