on Monday, April 6th, the varsity softball team travelled to Estrella Foothills to face a tough team. Second baseman Kassi Simmons started the game with a lead off double, followed by a single from shortstop Destinee Cabrera A sacrifice bunt by pitcher Jackie Osorio brought Kassi home and a wild pitch brought Des home.
On Friday, April 3rd, the Lady Owls travelled to Sierra Linda High School. The Lady Owls got their second victory in a row, winning 13-0 after 6 innings. Miranda Magallenez pitched her first shutout of the season. Congratulations Lady Owls!
The AFHS Spring Strength Camp for future Owl athletes begins this Thursday, April 9th, at 6:30pm in the Randall McDaniel Strength Center. On Tuesday, March 31st, the Lady Owls Varsity Softball team picked up their second conference win with a decisive victory over Copper Canyon. The game was called in the bottom of the fifth inning with a final score 11-1. On Friday, April 3rd, the Lady Owls travel to Sierra Linda for a game at 3:45
Great win tonight for our lady owls. Sabrina Villa and Mariah Reyes come away with a victory in their doubles match, Mariah Reyes our number 4 Varsity player had a clean sweep 6-0, 6-0. Next home match is Thursday against Younker High. Come out and see these ladies soar.
