The Frosh Owls kept their early season momentum rolling with their best offensive performance of the season, a 55-14 rout of Sierra Linda.
The Owls (3-0) dominated on the ground with eight rushing touchdowns. Jovonte Trimble had his breakout game of the season at running back, finding the endzone three times. Fullback Angel Oliva added two more on tough runs up the middle, while Amos Cooper added his own score.
Quarterback Matt Manola found his way to the endzone on long scramble for a touchdown. The final touchdown was by receiver Alan Can, who also blocked superbly for his teammates all game long.
Defensively, the Owls were stout as usual, with the linebacker corps of Oliva, Dominick Herrera and Luis Lomeli leading the charge.
The Agua Fria coaching staff would like to sincerely thank all the parents and teachers who came out to support us on the road. Your support of our student athletes is a huge part of our success and it does not go unnoticed. We look forward to seeing you next Wednesday at home against Sunnyslope.
