This was the first match for both teams with Estrella Foothills taking advantage of the Owl’s youth. Jennifer Lopez, the #1 see for AFHS played a tough match against Hannah Archer but finally lost 4-6, 4-6.. The #2 seeds were on the court for a long time with Alexis Charles taking advantage of some unforced errors by Eva Serbin and took the only AFHS Owls victory 6-, 6-4. In the end, Estrella knocked of AFHS easily defeating them 8-1 for the Owls first loss.
