The JV Owl football team played their final home game of 2018 and went perfect at home for the year beating Millennium 21 -8.

The Owls won the toss and elected to receive the opening kickoff. The offense led by qb Tristin Sanchez put together a punishing ground attack with Antwain Clark Jr., Lathun Fultz, and Abdur Malik. The drive concluded with Sanchez taking into into.the endzone on the qb keep. Camden Weeg booted the ball for the PAT and the Owls led 7- 0.

The Tiger offense took their first possession of the game and covered 30 yards in a hurry before the Owl defense put the brakes on them and the district school dog fight was on.

Back and forth both teams battled with each offense moving the ball but unable to score. The Owl defensive line of Xavier Martinez, Joesph Escobedo, Felix Chavez, and Carlos Lopez just flat out battled. Linebackers Hector, Colby, and Camden filled holes and dropped the Tigers running game. Phoenix, Vasqez, lomeli, Rios, Barraza, Heller, Wilkerson shutdown the Millilennum passing game.

After 7 – 0 half the Owl defense cam up big forcing a Tiger.fumble and.recovering tue endzone. Weeg’s kick made it 14 – 0 Owls. The Tigers drove deep into Owl territory when Antwain Clark jr intercepted the tigers inside the 10 yard line. The Owl offensive line then went to work, Alejandro Rameriz, Gabriel Ruiz, Xavier Martinez, Joseph Escobedo, and James Martinez. The drive ended in another Tristin Sanchez touchdown. 21 – 0 Owls.

The Tigers scored with less than five minutes left in the game. The Owls recovered the onside kick attempt and ran the clock zero.
