Friday September 29,

The Agua Fria Owls opened the the region play with a HUGE win over Verrado.

Both teams appeared to be disciplined on defense early making it hard for the opposing teams offense to get going. A spark once again from QB, Tre’ Lewis, got the Owls going when he connected with TE McArthur Osborne for a 30+ TD pass. Beautiful pitch and catch.

The Owls scored one more time before heading into the half with a 13-0 lead.

Second half, Verrado seemed to have come out with a new game plan as they adjusted and took a drive to make it 13-7.

A heavy dose of the defense for the Owls keep the Vipers in line the remainder of the third quarter allowing the Owls offense to score another one before the quarter ended, 20-7.

The Agua Fria defense was hungry on Friday for takeaways where they got four, THREE interceptions, Quinn Boykins and one fumble, Jermey Peterson.

The Owls win 27-14. Thank you once again for the all the support from the staff, students and community. The team and the school greatly appreciates it all!

Hope to see the traveling fan base for the next two weeks as the Owls turn into road warriors against Willow Canyon and Millennium.
